Engle's Holiday Harbor - Where everyday is a holiday
2013 marks Engle's Holiday Harbor's 67th year for servicing boaters of Southwestern PA.
Under management of the third generation, the marina has always been operated by the Engle family. See About Us to read more about the Engle's and the marina's beginning. Just an hour south of Pittsburgh, this small town family marina is conventiently located a few miles off the Southern Link of Route 43, south of Brownsville.
Through the many years of being a full service marina and dealership, boat sales were the driving force of operations. As the needs of the local community changed from the new boat market to a pre-owned preference, the Engle family now focus mainly on service, engine repairs, full fiberglass repairs, detailing (winter only), as well as summer dockage, winterizations and winter storage, and you can find a well suited pre-owned boat that to be listed with Engle's must pass their inspection.
Summer starts early at Engle's, they begin launching boats in March or April depending on the weather. Full swing season is May 1 to October 10th, but the service department is open all year.
From Millsboro, the Monongahela River begins about 67 miles south in Fairmont WV and flows north through the foothills of West Virginia and picturesque hills of south western Pennsylvania, and continues another 65 winding miles to Pittsburgh. A system of 9 locks and dams control the water depth and flow to allow for recreational boating and commerical traffic. Engle's is located in the 21 mile pool between Maxwell and Grays Landing lock where the water is clear and free of municipal and industrial contaminants.
